Canstruction – Change of Date Notification
 

Helping Daily Bread Food Bank in their fight to end hunger, Canstruction is an extraordinary event that, with the help of our dedicated teams and generous sponsors, has raised more than 687,000 pounds of food for communities in Toronto since 1999.

Although hunger is a year-round problem, the spring and summer are particularly challenging for Daily Bread Food Bank as demand remains steady, but school breakfast and lunch programs go on hiatus and many donors take vacation.

As such, the Canstruction steering committee and the host of the event, Cadillac Fairview, have decided to move the annual Canstruction event to the spring, providing assistance to Daily Bread’s efforts at this crucial time of year. We believe that the new date will be advantageous not only for Daily Bread’s efforts, but also for the teams that will no longer have to compete with other holiday events.

The next Canstruction event will take place Monday, June 3rd with the awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 at the Toronto-Dominion Centre.

We hope that your firm will continue to participate in this unique fundraiser that showcases the design industry’s talent while providing a much-needed donation for Daily Bread.
