Congratulations to TIM KLAUCK – 2007 Roni Award Recipient!

Tim Klauck, Quadrangle’s Financial Controller, joined the firm in 1999 and became an Associate in 2004. A dedicated team player able to work effectively with very diverse personalities, Tim has been instrumental in improving our financial strength and is an integral member of our management team. Tim is highly regarded in the design community due to his abilities and his leadership in professional organizations outside the office, such as the Society for Design Administration Canada (SDA).
Tim manages all Quadrangle financial and administrative office functions, supervises and directs an administrative staff of four and has been responsible for such office improvements as the implementation of accounting software and a time sheet system.
Prior to joining Quadrangle, Tim worked as an accountant for engineering and architectural firms managing accounting functions for various offices around the world. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Economics from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. He is a member of the SDA, was its President in 2003 and 2004, and participates in various executive committees. In 2007, Tim was the recipient of the Society for Design Administration Canada’s Roni Award, which is presented annually to an SDA member who has made a significant contribution to SDA Canada and its goals.
About the Roni Award
The Roni Award is presented annually to a member who has made a significant contribution to SDA Canada and its goals. The award is named in memory of Veronica Fazekas, one of the founding members of SDA Canada.
Roni recognized that there are many administrators, who contribute significantly to design practices but who are not acknowledged. She felt that sharing experiences both frustrating and rewarding, would benefit this unrecognized group. The areas of professional development education, a certification program to promote excellence in the field, the promotion of the value of these members of the office team, were all to be explored.
Roni died from lymphoma while serving as President. She devoted her last energies to SDA Canada, convening Executive meetings at her bedside. Her passion and commitment continue to inspire our members.
The 2008 Executive wants to hear from you!
We are seeking input to help make the association an even better one. Comments, ideas and suggestions should be sent to Susan Smith: president@sdacanada.com
